We're a tiny group handling an avalanche of inquiries. Please check and see if your question is already answered on the site. Find our main pages left and/or on the SiteMap.

FIRST: See Frequently Asked Questions, How to Get a Plug-In Hybrid and Where they are (& who has them). NOTE: All this information is no longer up to date!

THEN: If your question is about converting your car or how to get a PHEV, read How to Get a Plug-In Hybrid again. That page is updated frequently. NOTE: We no longer update this page frequently.

UPDATE: Hybrid conversions were mainly a strategy to get plug-in cars on the road and in the public's attention. We no longer recommend that individuals convert their hybrids. And "one-off" conversions of gasoline cars are very challenging. Instead, please consider buying a new or used plug-in EV or PHEV, since they are now mass-produced by carmakers. (We won!)

If you still can't find the answer, send general inquiries to info@calcars.org or see the other email addresses at the left.

Thanks!
